Cameron Highlands is in Pahang State. The highland’s highest peak is Gunung Brinchang, reigning at 2000 meters above sea level. Cameron Highlands, Pahang is a highly-visited holiday spot where tourists from all around the world come to experience a serene and peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and one of Malaysia’s most popular tourist destinations. Cameron Highlands is famous for its collection of peaceful and spectacular landscapes with tea fields and mountains. The natural surroundings make it the best destination for whom is nature lovers with refreshing temperatures.

How to Reach

How to reach Cameron Highlands ? 

  • Cameron Highlands is connected by road, and can drive with personal vehicles, also by bus or minivan services are available from major states across Malaysia such as Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang.

  • There are four major gateways by Highways which are Tapah, Simpang Pulai, Sungai Koyan and Gua Musang.

  • From the south such as Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malacca, Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Singapore the most popular gateway is through Tapah. The Tapah road is great for travellers who want to enjoy the great view of scenery where you can take a quick stop at the Lata Iskandar Waterfall for a picture or two.

  • If from the North such as Penang, Kedah, Perak and Langkawi the major gateway is through Simpang Pulai.

  • Bus to Cameron Highlands only avalaible from Kuala Lumpur (TBS and KL Sentral), Ipoh (Amanjaya Bus Terminal) and Penang (Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal and Komtar).

  • If you’re from any other state you have to take the bus from the state to the main bus to come to Cameron Highlands.

How to Get to Cameron Highlands from the Airport ?

  • KLIA - You have to take a bus from KLIA to TBS. From TBS, you can take a bus to Cameron Highlands.

  • Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (IPOH) - From the airport, you can take a bus, taxi, or Grab to Aman Jaya Terminal. From Aman Jaya Terminal, you can take a bus to Cameron Highlands.

  • Penang International Airport, You can take a bus, taxi, or Grab to Sungai Nibong Terminal or Komtar, and then take a bus to Cameron Highlands.

  • Langkawi International Airport - You can take a flight to Ipoh or Penang, and from there, take a bus to Cameron Highlands.

     Tea Plantation is the major famous place in Cameron Highlands. Cameron Highlands is one of the country’s most fertile agricultural spots, possessing all the right attribute for growing outstanding tea and it’s situated over 1525 meters above sea level on the main mountain range of Malaysia. There a two companies at few spot of the tea plantation you can enjoy the breathtaking view from the tea estate. With amazing landscapes and stunning panoramic view, the tea plantations are truly picturesque.

Mossy Forest

Mossy Forest

As a nature lover or lover of trees, Mossy Forest is the place that you shouldn’t miss out on. 

 Mossy Forest is one of the places that you can’t go with a private car or rented scooter.

To go to Mossy Forest you have to sign up for the half-day tour or full-day tour. One of the tour itineraries is the Mossy Forest. Starting from 1st March 2019, Pahang State of Forestry Department will charge an entrance fee for entering Mossy Forest, Cameron Highlands.  

  • Adult : RM 30

  • Children : RM15 

  • Non Senior Citizen : RM 30
